Going to Philmont next week?

So I am going to Philmont Scout Ranch in exactly a week. I am kind if nervous and excited at the same time. I know I am well prepared because my crew has gone backpacking a lot on The Long Trail. I know what to pack and everything. I am nervous about the altitude difference from Vermont to Philmont, and I'm also nervous about the ranger that will be with us for the first few days. Anyone who has been to Philmont, what is it like?
