Light spotting for couple minutes then it stops during 6 week 6 days pregnant?

i went to the bathroom this evening, and when i wiped i saw light red spoting. turned light pink, then to just a tinge. lasted a couple minutes so far it has stopped. I called my dr right away, she booked me in to see her for thurs. today is tues. she told me rest but i work at a retail job, where i stand for 7hrs out of 8 should i call in? they know i am pregnant. i dont want to chance any thing.
